ISLAMABAD: An increase of 35 per cent in gas prices for domestic consumers has been recommended, sources in petroleum division said.
They said that it had been recommended to increase 35 per cent on the last four slabs of domestic users.
There will be no price increase in the first two slabs of gas consumers.
The hike has been suggested on domestic gas consumers used between 200 and 400 MMBTU monthly. The average monthly utility bill of these consumers range between Rs553 and 1460.
The sources said that the hike had been recommended only from November to February. However, the final decision will be made by the federal cabinet.
