If you use Facebook Messenger to communicate with your friends, the good news is that it has added some new features.

These new features were announced by Meta.

The first feature is about photos and it is inspired by the HD Photos feature introduced in WhatsApp some time ago.

That means now you can send HD photos in Messenger too. Select an image and then enable the HD option before sending it. The HD tag will also appear on the top right corner of this image.

Another feature is Shared Albums where you can share photos and videos with your friends and family. For this purpose click on Create Album option by selecting multiple photos in a group chat.

To add photos and videos to an already created album, select them and click the Add to Album option. Everyone in the group chat will be able to see these photos and videos while adding more photos and videos. Similarly, everyone will be able to delete photos or videos in these shared albums.

The third feature is to add people to Messenger via QR code.

According to the company, all Messenger users will have a unique QR code that can be scanned to add people.

The fourth feature will also be liked by the users.

Now in Messenger, users will be able to send files up to 100 MB.

According to the company, it will be possible to send all formats including Word, PDF and Excel files.

The company said that these features will be available to users in the next few weeks.
