Alkhidmat Karachi’s Orphan Care department organized Eid Milan celebrations for orphan children guardians in the Quaideen and Central clusters as well as their mothers and guardians.
The event was held at a local banquet and was attended by senior officials of Alkhidmat’s Orphan Care department including Executive Director Rashid Qureishi and Director Orphan Care Program Yousuf Mohideen. A number of interesting shows were arranged at the event such as a magic show and a clown who regaled the children. Speaking on the occasion, Rashid Qureishi drew the attention of the gathering to the link between Ramadan and the Holy Qur’an since the latter was revealed during Ramadan. He said that it was incumbent for every Muslim to read the Qur’an with meaning, understand its message and act according to it. On his part, Yousuf Mohideen praised the efforts of the mothers of the children and acknowledged their courage in raising their children without their fathers. He urged the children to study and work hard and try to become good, successful citizens as they were the future of the nation. The celebrations ended with a sumptuous feast.
