PM Imran to address nation today


ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan will address the nation on radio and television today at 7:30 pm.

The prime minister will share his point of view with the nation on the open ballot system.

Earlier, the prime minister had sent an advice to President Dr Arif Alvi to convene a meeting of the National Assembly.

Sources said that the National Assembly session has been convened on Saturday for a vote of confidence after the President’s approval.

The National Assembly also had a brief session today. After recitation, Naat and national anthem, the Deputy Speaker adjourned the sitting indefinitely.

The prime minister has also convened an important meeting of senior party leaders today in connection with the vote of confidence. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) senior party leaders and ministers have been summoned to the Prime Minister’s House.

It is reported that the prime minister will give a briefing on the reasons for the defeat of Abdul Hafeez Sheikh in the Prime Minister’s House this afternoon.
