KARACHI: Pakistan’s commercial capital is organizing the Asia’s largest cattle market to facilitate people ahead of coming Eidul Azha.

In this connection, arrangements are in full swing at the site of the central market located at Northern Bypass in Taiser Town.

Organisers told media that the cattle market is likely to be opened for buyers and traders of sacrificial animals on May 10. The market believed to be the Asia’s biggest will cater the needs of animal traders and buyers from Karachi and its adjoining towns ahead of Eidul Azha, falls on the 10th day of Dhu al-Hijjah,

Like the past years, the market will play a crucial role in generating economic revenue worth billions of rupees involving thousands of traders of animals and decorating items. The market also serves as a platform of economic activities for people set up temporary restaurants, tea stalls, fast food items etc.

The cattle market spanned over 1,000 acres at Taisar Town in Northern Bypass will maintain its tradition of robust security measures, with police and Ranger services employed to ensure safety and order.

Ample parking spaces are being designated for convenience of visitors. At the market, financial services will be accessible through ATMs.

Besides, medical assistance, including ambulance services will be on standby in case of any emergency.

According to the organisers, free water will be provided to the animal traders. Veterinary department officials will also be available at the market to ensure the animals’ well-being.
