Offices of Livestock Thatta, director parks DMC Korangi raided

Karachi: On the direction of Provincial Minister for Industries & Commerce and Anti-Corruption & Cooperative Department, Jam Ikramullah Dharejo, Anti-Corruption Establishment Sindh has stepped up its operations against those involved in corruption and raided the offices of Live Stock Thatta and Director Parks DMC Korangi Karachi here on Thursday.

According to details, Assistant Director and Circle Officer Malik Nazir Ahmed along with his team raided the office of Livestock and Animal Husbandry Thatta under the supervision of Second Civil Judge Imran Dauch on the allegations of corruption in the office. Three years record including of purchasing medicines was taken into custody and further investigations are underway.

In the second operation, Assistant Director South Saddam Wassan and Circle Officer Korangi Liaquat Abbasi along with their team raided the office of Director Parks DMC Korangi Karachi.

It may be mentioned that the Anti-Corruption Office South had received many complaints about embezzlement in funds and payments of bogus/fake bills.

Meanwhile, Sindh Minister for Industries & Commerce and Anti-Corruption Jam Ikramullah Dharejo , while appreciating the measures taken by Anti-Corruption Establishment Sindh against corrupt elements , has expressed his hope that ACE would take action against corruption in the same spirit in future as well and would continue their efforts against corrupt elements to get rid Sindh province of corruption.

He also directed that the corrupt elements should be brought to their logical conclusion in all cases so that others could learn a lesson and no one should think of committing corruption.
