Karachi: Sindh Minister for Industries & Commerce and Cooperative Department & Anti-Corruption Jam Ikramullah Dharejo reacting strongly to Dr Shahbaz Gul’s tweet in which he is asking to close major markets and malls, has asked that who had given authority to Shahbaz Gill to decide to close the markets on his own?
Dharejo has said, in a statement on Thursday, that the coronavirus had spread alarmingly across the country due to poor policies of the federal government. Hospitals do not have room for patients. He questioned who was responsible for the horrific situation and the deaths from the coronavirus.
He said that when Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah was repeatedly requesting the federal government to take serious note of the Coronavirus situation. But the federal government did not pay attention due to its false ego and now that more than 80,000 people have contracted the coronavirus, now the federal government has come to its senses that the markets should be closed.
The provincial minister said that the federal government considered the loss of human lives as a joke and was making unwise decisions without taking the provinces into confidence which was proving to be extremely dangerous for the country and the nation.
He asked the federal government to take the sensible measures and make decisions in the interest of the nation otherwise the people would hold the federal government accountable.
