ذرا ایک لمحہ ٹہریں اور ایک نظر پیچھے دیکھیں تو آج سے پانچ مہینے پہلے ہماری زندگی میں ایک ایسی تبدیلی رونما ہوئی جس کا تصور شاید ہم نے خوابوں میں بھی نہیں کیا تھا ۔بھاگتی دوڑتی زندگی ایک لمحے میں منجمد ہو کر رہ گئی اور اس اچانک تبدیلی کے لیے نہ تو ہمارے پاس کوئی منصوبہ بندی تھی اور نہ کوئی لائحہ عمل ۔جہاں بڑے بڑے ادارے تباہ حالی کا شکار ہوے وہیں جامعہ کراچی کی مجلس مباحثہ نے اس کڑے وقت کا مقابلہ بھرپور حوصلہ سے کیا اور ایسی مثال قائم کی جو قابل تحسین ہے ۔ ذہنی تناؤ کے اس مشکل وقت میں ممبران کی حوصلہ افزاء کہانیاں پیش کی گئیں ۔ معاشرتی مسائل پر روشنی ڈالتے ہوے آن لائن سیشنز منعقد کروائے گئے جن میں معاشرے میںBullying Culture ،سائنس اور مسّلم میراث، خواتین اور خطابت جیسے موضوعات سر فہرست رہے۔جدید ٹیکنالوجی سے ناواقفیت کی بناء پر کئی مشکل مراحل بھی آئے لیکن سب کا سامنا کرتے ہوے “آن لائن پبلک سپیکنگ کورس” متعارف کروایا جس کے ذریعے ۴۰۰سے زائد طلبہ و طلبات کو اردو اور انگریزی زبانوں میں مباحثہ ، تقاریر ، منظر نگاری ،پارلیمانی مباحثہ اور MUN کی ٹریننگ کروائی گئی۔ ٹی وی چینلز کی رمضان ٹرانسمیشن میں ہونے والے تقریری مقابلوں میں طلبہ و طلبات کی بڑی تعداد نے نہ صرف حصہ لیا بلکہ سیمی فائنل اور فائنل میں پہنچ کر کامیابی کا سہرا اپنے سر سجا يا۔

کورونا وائرس میں ہی مثبت رہنے پر ذور دیتے ہوئے “یہ وقت بھی گزر جائے گا” نامی ٹرینڈ کا آغاز کیا جس میں طلبہ و طالبات نے بھر پور شرکت کی ،اس طرح یکجہتی کی اعلی مثال قائم کی گئی ۔ طلبہ و طلبات کی بڑھتی ہوئی پریشانی اور اضطرابیت کے پیش نظر جامعہ کےاسٹوڈنٹ ایڈوائزر ڈاکٹر سید عاصم علی کے ساتھ آن لائن سیشن کا اہتمام کیا گیا جس میں آن لائن کلاسز کس طرح اور کیسے لی جائیں گی پر گفتگو کی گئی جس کی میزبانی مجلس مباحثہ کے صدر محمد عمار عباسی نے کی۔ایک آن لائن پورٹل بنایا گیا جس کے ذریعے طبی ساز و سامان کی فراہمی کی اطلاعات دی گئیں ۔گو کہ نہ تو علمی نقصان ہونے دیا اور سماجی کاموں میں بھی بڑھ چڑھ کر حصہ لیا گیا اور یہ پیغام عام کیا کہ جیسے بھی حالات درپیش ہوں لوگوں کو متحد رکھنے اور مستفید کرنے کا عمل جاری رہے گا۔جامعہ کراچی مجلس مباحثہ نے کوڈ-۱۹ کے دوران جس طرح خدمات انجام دیں وہ سنگ میل کی حثیت رکھتی ہیں اور ان کاوشوں کی جتنی تعریف کی جائے کم ہے۔
