CHITRAL: At least three people including two women died and four others were injured when a jeep fell into a deep gorge here on Sunday.
DPO Abbas Majeed Marwat said that in Souranj area of Upper Chitral, a passenger jeep while negotiating a sharp turn skidded off road and plunged into a deep ravine.
Three people including jeep driver Sher Zafar, wives of Musa and Ahmed Ali died on the spot in the accident while four others identified as Sher Bahadur, Shahid Ali, Waqar Ali and Siffat Ali were critically wounded.
The local people on self help basis pulled out the bodies and injured from the gorge and shifted them to hospital where condition of the wounded people was also stated to be serious.
Police said that the accident occurred due to poor condition of road and careless driving.
