KARACHI: Former prime minister and Pakistan Muslim League-N leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has claimed that the opposition can bring the no-confidence motion without the support of PML-Q.

Speaking to the media here on Wednesday, the PML-N leader said that the PML-Q had five members in the parliament.

“We have invited the PML-Q for the no-confidence. Now the party has to make a decision if they were with the government or the masses,” Abbasi told media.

He said this was the first government, which had made claims of doing accountability. We have been facing the National Accountability Bureau for 22 years. NAB has to be abolished since the fake cases registered by the the anti-graft watchdog has nothing to do with the reality.

Earlier,  Leader of the opposition in National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif had said that the government is borrowing $1 billion from abroad every month.

In a statement, the PML-N president said that the government is cheating both the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the public. He prayed that may Imran Niazi does not take the U-Turn in the coming days on the package.

He questioned why inflation has not decreased when the price of petrol had been cut?

The opposition leader said the foreign debt has shaken the economy and economists while the $1 billion loan is being borrowed by the government from abroad every month.
