The United States has urged both Pakistan and India to avoid escalation and resolve issues through dialogue.

This was stated by State Department’s spokesperson Matthew Miller while responding to a question about claims that India had ordered killings in Pakistan.

The spokesperson added that we don’t have any comment on the underlying allegations, but of course, while we’re not going to get in the middle of this situation, we encourage Pakistan and India to avoid tension and find a solution through dialogue.

Earlier, Rajnath Singh, the Indian defence minister, in an interview with CNN News18, had said that New Delhi will enter Islamabad to kill anyone who escapes over the border after trying to carry out terrorist activities in the country. The minister admitted to the Indian government’s policy of orchestrating killings in Pakistan.

His comments came a day after The Guardian, a British publication, revealed in a report that Indian government had killed around 20 people since 2020 in Pakistan as part of a plan to eliminate terrorists residing on foreign soil.

The report came months after the US and Canada accused India of killing or attempting to kill people in their countries.
