Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Usman Dar’s mother Rehana Imtiaz Dar and sister-in-law Ruba Umar Dar were arrested on Thursday.
In a statement, son Omar Dar said that my mother Rehana Dar was arrested from Sialkot, along with my mother, other women were also arrested.
According to sources, the PTI had organized a prayer ceremony for the martyred workers at Jinnah House, in which Rehana Dar participated. As soon as she came out of her house, the police arrested her.
Sources said that a heavy contingent of police detained Dar from near Jinnah House.
It is worth mentioning here that the nation is observing first anniversary of May 09 riots.
The PTI has announced to organize rallies across Pakistan.
