KARACHI: The Sindh High Court Wednesday stopped National Accountability (NAB) Bureau from arresting former IG Sindh Ghulam Haider Jamali in police corruption case while extended the bail till November 3.

The NAB asked SHC to respite them for submission of written answer against Sindh IG during  a  hearing of Sindh Police corruption case.  However, Jamali stated that  he has been cooperating  in inquiry regarding corruption saying NAB must be stopped to arrest him whereas NAB has made stance that investigation of billions of corruption in illegal recruitment  is underway as well as corruption in police funds.

In this connection, Court  gave some specified time to NAB in order to file a reference against Jamali while issued a direction not to arrest ex-IG Sindh. And his protective bail has been extended till November 3.
