It looks like Shahnawaz Dahani has to restart his cricketing journey after being snubbed from the 29-member pool for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup.

Though, the pacer is still in the Pakistan Cricket Board’s central contract, but was overlooked by the new selection committee after the return of Mohammad Amir.

The fitness camp commences from March 26 and will conclude on April 08 at an Army base in Kakul.

The camp is part of the preparations for the much-anticipated five-match home T20I series against New Zealand and T20 World Cup.

Expressing his disappointment, Dahani wrote that he will still be the fittest Pakistan pacer even without attending the camp.

“No regrets for me, as I will still be the fittest bowler even after this camp,” Dahani posted on social media platform, X.

The 29 players for the camp are:

Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Saim Ayub, Fakhar Zaman, Sahibzada Farhan, Haseebullah, Saud Shakeel, Usman Khan, Mohammad Haris, Salman Ali Agha, Azam Khan, Iftikhar Ahmed, Irfan Khan Niazi, Shadab Khan, Imad Wasim, Usama Mir, Mohammad Nawaz, Mehran Mumtaz, Abrar Ahmed, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Naseem Shah, Mohammad Abbas Afridi, Hasan Ali, Mohammad Ali, Zaman Khan, Mohammad Wasim Jnr, Aamir Jamal, Haris Rauf, and Mohammad Amir.
