Security plan for coming West Indian tour to Pakistan prepared

KARACHI: The security plan has been prepared for the coming West Indian cricket team’s visit to Pakistan.

Three T20 and as many one-day internationals will be played between Pakistan and West Indies. The series will start from December 13 and all matches will be played at Karachi’s National Stadium.

According to police officials, the security plan of the visit was prepared at a meeting led by DIG Security and Emergency Services Division Maqsood Ahmed at the SSU Headquarters. Senior officers of law enforcement agencies including police and Rangers also attended the meeting.

DIG Maqsood Ahmed says that more than 1500 personnel including 800 SSU commandos will perform duty duties during the series. Expert snappers will also be deployed at sensitive locations and special command and control bus will be present at the National Stadium to monitor the stadium.
