Riyadh always supported Islamabad in testing times: Shehbaz

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have a long-standing and unprecedented brotherly relationship, adding Riyadh has always supported Islamabad in difficult times.

Earlier, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal along with the delegation reached the Prime Minister House where Premier Shehbaz Sharif welcomed them.

During the meeting, Shehbaz Sharif informed the Saudi delegation about the vast potential of investment in Pakistan and also invited Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman to visit the country. The prime minister said that the people of Pakistan are looking forward to the visit of the Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman.

In a conversation with the Saudi delegation, the prime minister further said that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have a long-standing and unprecedented brotherly relationship. Saudi Arabia has always supported Pakistan in difficult times, he added. This visit is beginning of a new era of strategic and commercial partnership between the two countries, he added.

He further said that Pakistan wants to increase cooperation with Saudi Arabia in the fields of trade and investment. Islamabad is taking steps to promote foreign investment and to make partnership with brotherly countries mutually beneficial, he continued.

The prime minister said that Pakistan is grateful to the Saudi leadership for increasing investment on behalf of Saudi Arabia.

According to the sources, the Saudi Foreign Minister will also meet the apex committee of SIFC today, in which bilateral investment will be discussed and various agreements will be signed.
