Rangers’ extension: Zardari issues special orders to CM Sindh

Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari directed Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah to immediately make extension in duration of special authorities to Rangers in the province.

PPP leadership decided to extend special authorities of the law enforcement agency Rangers in Sindh carrying out targeted operations against criminals and terrorists especially in the metropolis Karachi.

PPP co-chairman also ordered CM Sindh to contact all stakeholders in the province. He reiterated that law and order situation put on betterment track via firm efforts of Sindh government. He added that all institutions are making joint efforts to get rid of terrorism in the country.

Zardari said that civil-military relations are need of the time amid tough time being suffered by the country. He praised significant role of law enforcement agencies, Police and Rangers, in ongoing war against terrorism.

Post direction of Asif Ali Zardari, Sindh government released formal notification regarding extension of Rangers’ powers in the province for four months.
