LAHORE:  Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq, has said that the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif wanted to project himself as “oppressed’ after appearing before the JIT once but that was not possible.

“Nawaz Sharif wants to be taken as “Mazloom Sharif” for being forced to appear before the JIT but this can’t happen,” he remarked at a press conference at Mansoora on the second day of the JI Shoora. Asif Luqman Qazi and JI Information Secretary Amir ul Aeem were also present.

The JI chief announced a “ march to the US embassy” in Islamabad on July 9 to express  solidarity with the Kashmiris and to protest against  the US  announcement declaring Syed Salahud Din a terrorist. He urged the masses to join the march in large numbers in support of the just cause of the Kashmiris.

Continuing, he said that the accountability would continue until the plundered wealth was recovered.  He said that nobody was above the law and around six hundred people named in the Panama leaks would be brought to accountability. He urged all political parties to offer themselves for accountability to help wipe out corruption and to promote the culture of honesty in the country.

The JI chief said that the US, India and Israel wanted to occupy the land the resources of the Muslim world, and said the unity of the Ummah was necessary to foil their designs. He also urged the Muslim world to move forward for arbitration between Saudi Arabia and Iran to frustrate the US agenda of dividing the Muslim world on the basis of Shia and Sunni.

Sirajul Haq said that declaring Salahud Din a terrorist was personal decision of Donald Trump and the American people and the UN had nothing to do with it. It was an irony that the US which had declared Modi a terrorist till recently was now accusing Syed Salahud Din of terrorist although Salahud Din was struggling for the liberation of his people.

He further said that India wanted to divert the rivers flowing into Pakistan to convert this country into a desert.

Replying to a question, the JI chief said that he did not believe in any conspiracy. If the Prime Minister and his family members think there was any conspiracy against them, they should openly tell the nation who was conspiring against them, he added.

He said that the courts in the country were free and whatsoever their decision, it would be in the larger interest of the country and the nation and it would help to weed out corruption.

Sirajul Haq pointed out that all the political parties had accepted the JIT and the PML(N) had even distributed sweets on that occasion. Therefore, a propaganda against it was not proper. He said that the JIT decision would be accepted by all.

Regarding the revival of the MMA, Sirajul Haq said that all the religious parties had good understanding between them and were in contact with one another. There was total harmony among these parties on many issues and a common line of action on the national issues. However, he said, the  question of MMA’s revival was before time at this stage.

About the Shoora decisions, Sirajul Haq said that the holy Quran and the Sunnah clearly and totally prohibited interest but the slaves of the IMF and the World Bank ruling the country wanted to continue the interest based economy. He said the JI Shoora had decided to launch a vigorous drive against interest.

Regarding Urdu as national language, the JI chief said that the slaves of the British had not given any weight to the Supreme Court order in this respect and also the constitutional requirement on the matter. He said the JI Shoora had also demanded making Urdu as official language and for holding the CSS examination in Urdu so that the off spring of the poor could also participate. He said that the developed nations including Japan and China had progressed only for giving due importance to their national language.
