PK-661 examined in October, confirms no survivor: PIA chairman

ISLAMABAD: Chairman Pakistan International Airline (PIA) Azam Sehgal said all passengers have died in the fatal plane crash.

Addressing to a press conferences after the crash, PIA chairman ruled out any technical fault in PK-661 and said we have 11 ATR jets and all of them are reliable.

A plane is examined after every 500 hours, Azam Sehgal said.

He told reports that ATR just went through A-Check in October and there was no technical error in the plane. “we are inquiring the incident,” he added.

Chairman PIA said a high level investigation will be conducted into the incident in which International agencies will also be included.

He also confirmed that black box of the ill-fate jet has been found.

All dead bodies will be transported to Islamabad by tomorrow (Thursday), Chairman PIA said.

All including PIA are deeply saddened over the loss of precious lives, Sehgal said.
