Pakistanis given Rs900 million subsidy during Ramadan

ISLAMABAD: Managing Director of Utility Stores Corporation, Sultan Mehmood, claimed that more than Rs90 crore subsidy has been given to the consumers across the country during the month of Holy Ramadan.

Sultan Mehmood said that authorities have not compromised over standard of commodities in 6,000 utility stores present across the country.

While talking to a private news channel, MD Utility Stores said that all utility stores are ensuring on-time supplies of grocery products to its consumers while overall sale was recorded up to Rs8 billion in Pakistan during Ramadan.

He said that standard of the products are equivalent to the commodities in private markets but with lesser prices.
