NAB Amendment Ordinance challenged in Supreme Court

ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Ordinance 2019, which was approved by the federal cabinet last week, has been challenged in the Supreme Court of Pakistan here on Monday.

Petitioner Farrukh Nawaz Bhatti, in his plea, prayed to the court to suspend the NAB ordinance till the decision on the petition.

Last week, the federal cabinet had approved the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Ordinance 2019.

After the approval by the federal cabinet,  the ordinance was sent to President Arif Alvi for his signature to make it a law.

The cabinet had accorded the ordinance an approval through circulation.
