KARACHI: Journalists strongly protested against torture incident on them occurred on Saturday (yesterday) outside Sindh High Court (SHC) at the occasion of Additional Inspector General Karachi (Add IG) Ghulam Qadir Thebo press conference held on Sunday (today).
The journalists asked question to Add IG who were those masked persons who resorted to torture on the journalists outside (SHC).
The Add IG accepted the demand of the journalists to register F.I.R against involved in torture on the journalists.
The police spokesman said that there were at least 11 persons involved in torture on the journalists who had fled the scene as police reached the spot outside the SHC.
It is pertinent to mention here that on appearance of former home minister Sindh Zulfiqar Mirza in Sindh High Court (SHC) unidentified persons resorted to torture on security guards and accomplices of Mirza along with journalists who were making video of the incident.
In press conference, police presented arrested armed men included in Mirza squad and their ammunition before the media.
