ISLAMABAD: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) have filed a petition in Sindh High Court (SHC), demanding to conduct next phase local government elections by show of hands in Sindh.
A petition was filed by JI’s advocate in the court demanding to conduct the next phase elections by show of hands process in the province.
In the petition JI’s advocate stated that Sindh government would try to do rigging in the next phase LG-polls, so the elections should be conducted by show of hands process.
This is the constitutional demand and by this process conducting transparent elections is possible, further in the petition.
It is pertinent to mention here that, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) asserted on Friday that there was no other way of holding elections on reserved seats in local governments of Sindh except through show of hands.
