JI always raise voice on public issues: Siraj-ul-Haq

Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Pakistan Chief Siraj-ul-Haq has announced protest scheduled against the Sindh government and K-Electric in connection of public woes including power outages, shortage of drinking water and facing difficulties in issuance of Computerised National Identity Cards (CNIC).

In a crowded press conference held at Idara Noor Haq here on Yesterday, the JI Pakistan Chief Siraj-ul-Haq said that the JI-Karachi Chapter would besiege the Sindh Chief Minister House on April-20 and to observe a strike on 27-April in order to raise the issues of the common men.

During the press conference, the JI Chief said that the incompetent government is responsible for the deteriorated civic facilities in Karachi, adding that the people should stand with Jamaat-e-Islami to resolve the burning issues.

Siraj-ul-Haq said that the Karachi is a ideological and economic hub of the country, however; it seems that the present government is not willing to resolve the issues of the people.

Siraj-ul-Haq said that the JI is always playing its active role in resolving the public issues, adding that the JI has opted all constitutional and legal ways atgainst the K-Electric, adding that the government is behaving badly with the people of metropolis.

He said that the JI is always raises its voice against the atrocities of K-Electric and NADRA and demanded to those organisations to rectity its weaknesses, otherwise ready to face public aggression.

The JI Chief further demanded of the government to withdraw the recent Bill in connection with autonomy of universities, adding that the Sindh government and City government should resolve the water supply crisis in metropolis.

“Those who are claiming the mandate of City for last 35years,  have completely failed to deliver”, Siraj added.

During the press conference, the JI Chief has also condemned the bombing of United States on Syria in which dozens of inncocent children and women have lost their lives, adding that all organisations of human rights are become silent spectators over the barbarism of United States of America.

He said that the verdict of Supreme Court of Pakistan (SCP) regarding the dis-qualification of former Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and PTI leader Jahangir Tareen was incomplete as the apex court should take action against all culprits whose names are in Panama Leaks.

Replying to a query, the JI Chief informed that a workers’ convention of Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) is going to be held on May-2 in Islamabad.
