Islamic State giving ill fame to Islam; Muslims be patient: Grand Mufti

MOUNT ARAFAT: Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia Shaikh Abdul Aziz on Wednesday said restlessness and anarchy has spread among Muslims and the terrorist organisation Islamic State is misleading Muslims and bringing infamy to Islam.

Grand Mufti while delivering Hajj sermon to the pilgrims on 9th Zilhajj at Mount Arafat said that Muslims should adopt patience, act upon Islam and promote love and unity.

Temptation has spread all over the world and Muslims should stand against it. Extremist organisations want to take Islam back into the age of Ignorance, he said. “Allah will help us if we act earnestly.”

Muslim scholars need to call towards Islam in a beautiful manner and with correct knowledge. Spilling blood of innocent human is not allowed in Islam, he said while addressing Muslim ummat.

Taqwa was an specialty of Islam and a fort for a Muslim which should be adopted by all across the board, Shaikh Abdul Aziz added. It is obligatory for Muslims to mould their lives according to the religion. Islam supersedes all other religions.

The grand Mufti said: “all the Muslims should adopt piety and obedience to Allah. We need to correct our conducts to draw in Allah’s help. No doubt, Allah orders us to adopt justice. Whoever partnered with God would find his final abode in the hell fire.”

He stressed for seeking worldly knowledge with religious education. So that we do not lag behind in technology with others.

“No Religion is “Haq” except the religion of Islam. Islam supersedes all other religions. we are here due to the blessings of Allah,” he said.

Everyone should praise Allah that Hajj today has become easiest and with most facilities.

Muslims who are faced with hard times should have patience and  Allah will soon end their hard times. he added that Anti-Islam and Muslim forces trying their best to divide Muslims.

Enemies of Islam and Muslims forging alliances and Masjid Aqsa today calling upon Muslims for liberation, he said and Muslims rulers should promote fraternity and brotherhood among their ranks to meet growing challenges.

While addressing to the youth he said, Muslim youth should not become pawns and tools in the hands of misled elements and they should be careful not to join any misleading movement, or follow any slogan.

“May Allah forgive our sins and accept our efforts at Hajj, unite Muslims, lead us to path that pleases Him,” he said.
