The Iranian ambassador in Pakistan has said that if there is any Pakistani on the seized Israeli ship, he will be released on fraternal ties.

About the presence of Pakistani crew on the Israeli ship seized by Islamic Revolution Guards Corps, Iranian Ambassador Reza Amiri Moghaddam said that the confirmation of the Pakistani on board the Zodiac Maritime ship is still being awaited.

The ambassador further said that the information provided by the Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs yesterday has been sent to Tehran.

Earlier, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps’ (IRGC) special naval forces had seized Israel-linked MSC Aries container vessel near the Strait of Hormuz.

The Sepah Navy Special Force (SNSF) had impounded the vessel in a heliborne operation and rappelling of forces on the ship’s deck.

Later, the container ship owned by Israeli real estate, energy, technology and shipping magnate Eyal Ofer was directed towards the territorial waters of Iran.

The Portuguese-flagged ship is operated by Zodiac Maritime, which is part of the Israeli billionaire’s Zodiac Group.

Earlier, Iran late on Saturday had launched an air attack on Israel with over 200 drones and missiles, Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) confirmed.

The IRGC said the action was taken under the operation “True Promise”, adding that the move was part of the punishment for “Israeli crimes”.
