ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan on Saturday said that the poor people of Pakistan have been taxed while rich people have been spared in the Budget 2015-16.

“No matter how many times they  (PML-N) present the budget, it will be the same”, said Imran Khan in the presser just after a post-budget media talk by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar.

He demanded that the sales tax be brought down to 12 percent from 17 percent to bring down the price of petrol, an essential commodity.

The PTI chief demanded that the price of diesel shall be decreased to provide relief to the general people using public transport.

Imran Khan alleged that only privileged class was rewarded in the budget as the ruling PML-N is in the habit of buying people rather than taking practical steps for their welfare.

About taxing the rich people with property tax, Imran Khan said that official sources from Dubai have confirmed that Pakistani nationals bought property worth 43 billion  in Dubai.
