MECCA: More than three million pilgrims from all over the world on Tuesday have started proceeding towards Mina with verbalizing Labbaik Allahumma Labbaik, amid tight security.

After staying a night in Mina the pilgrims would move towards ground of Arafat.

Fears of a possible terrorist attack exist, apart from that there are massive logistical crowd and traffic control issues in handling the world’s biggest pilgrimage, which lasts about five days.

‘We always concentrate on hajj considering that a threat might exist,’ Major General Mansour al-Turki told an international news agency. ‘We’ve been targeted by terrorism for years now and we know that we are a target for terrorist groups.’
