Govt decides to allow goods transport service from Saturday

ISLAMABAD: The government on Friday decided to resume the goods transport service in the country from tomorrow (Saturday) to avoid any possible food shortage.

The decision was made at the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) meeting chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan here.

On the occasion, Special Assistant to PM Dr Zafar Mirza briefed the meeting on the situation arisen after the coronavirus outbreak.

It was decided that the goods transport service would be allowed to resume from tomorrow.

The prime minister directed that there should be no shortage of essential food items and their hoarding in the country.
