There will be no extreme heat in the coming summer season in Pakistan’s port city.
There will be a usual summer season but not so extreme this year in the metropolis, says the country’s top weather expert today.
Sardar Safaraz said that in May and June this year there will not be very hot weather in the city, which is used to experience heatwaves in recent years. Karachi will brave a usual summer spell this year, he added.
The chief meteorologist said that the second wave of westerly winds would enter Karachi on April 17. He forecast heavy rain from April 18 in the city.
There are no chances of rain today in the metropolis, he said. About the yesterday’s rain, Sarfaraz said that the city experienced rainfall as expected.
Earlier, five people were killed in separate lightning incidents in different areas of Rahim Yar Khan.
According to rescue sources, two children were killed due to lightning in Rahim Yar Khan’s Village Kalwar, while one person was killed due to lightning strike in Thal Hasan.
The sources said a husband and wife died due to lightning strike in Basti Khokhran Feroza.
It should be remembered that three youths were killed due to lightning in Sorab during heavy rains in Balochistan.
