Former SSP Rao Anwar escapes deadly bomb attack in Karachi, retaliation kills 5 terrorists

Former Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) Malir Rao Anwar escaped dangerous attack following grenade explosion on his convoy moving by Link Road near Steel Town of Karachi on Saturday (today).

Police convoy led by former SSP Rao Anwar, who was reportedly suspended from his post, survived a deadly bomb attack carried out by unidentified terrorists on Malir Link Road of the metropolis.

However, rapid retaliation of the police officials foiled bid of the terrorists and forced them to fled the location after leaving one dead and other injured in the incident.

It should be mentioned here that it was not the first attack on the police official as he also escaped a bomb attack carried out in Malir Halt area.

The police officer Rao Anwar told a local new channel said that he was going to inspect the incident’s spot where DSP Abdul Fateh Muhammad was killed near Gushan-e-Hadeed.

He said, ‘I am safe after being attacked and fire exchange by the attackers boarded in a white car and my guards.’

Heavy contingent of law enforcement agency cordoned off whole area and begun the search operation to find out the culprit while latest updates announced by the police claimed to have killed five out of seven or eight attackers in the incident so far.
