Five or six terrorists attack PTC Quetta, Op continues: ISPR

QUETTA: Five or six terrorists on Tuesday late night attacked the Police Training College situated at Sariab Road of Quetta, the provincial capital of Balochistan.

Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) spokesperson said that operation continued to clear PTC Quetta attacked by five or six terrorists.

Contingents of Pakistan Army reached the site and taking part in the operation.

Earlier, armed persons opened heavy firing after storming Police Training College situated at Sariab Road of Quetta, the provincial capital of Balochistan.

The affected area echoed by sound of firing with heavy machinery as unidentified armed persons stormed into Police Training College located at Sariab Road, 20 kilometer away from Quetta city on Quetta-Sibi Highway.

20 students wounded by terrorists’ firing when they tried to run away the PTC building, initial reports said.

According to reports, 700 students are getting training in the Police Training College having while 200 students are residing in the hostel building.

Balochistan Chief Minister Sanaullah Zehri ordered sending additional contingents of security officials to clear the PTC Quetta. Inspector General (IG) Balochistan Police Ehsan Mehboob also reached the attacked site.
