KARACHI: At a time when various political parties are fighting over Karachi’s poor civic amenities and infrastructure, the federal government is mulling to take administrative  control of the metropolis.

On Wednesday,  the federal law and justice minister hinted at converting Karachi as a separate administrative unit under the Centre.

The federal government might invoke the Article 149 (4), taking administrative control of the port city, Farogh Naseem told a local newspaper.

He was of the view that the PPP was responsible for all the problems being faced the metropolis.
