Muslims in the United States are being subjected to intense scrutiny by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

The FBI’s strict scrutiny launched after Israel’s attacks on Gaza

This has been revealed by a lawyer worked for the largest Muslim civil liberties organization in the US.

American Muslims have been followed by the FBI for many years. However, a number of complaints have increased after Israeli attacks on Gaza on Oct. 7, says Dina Chehata.

According to the civil rights managing attorney for the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), his office in Los Angeles has received several complaints from members of the Palestinian, Arab, and Muslim communities in Southern California.

FBI agents have contacted Muslim community members over phone or visited their homes to question them, says Dina Chehata. We have received several such complaints after the Israeli war, she further said. This is simply FBI surveillance and interrogation of our community,” Dina Chehata said.

The FBI questions to Muslims included whether they support Hamas, support the use of violence in the war region as well as their views on Israel and Hamas.

She further said that many people in our community are being watched and surveilled by the FBI.
