A senior Pakistan Muslim League-N leader has said that the Faizabad Dharna Commission did not try to reach the right results.

Speaking on local TV show, Rana Sanaullah said that Zahid Hamid himself was ready to resign, but by that time a plan had already been finalized to carry out an operation as per the orders of the Islamabad High Court.

He said that the Punjab government and agencies were of the opinion that there would be deaths as a result of the operation.

On the other hand, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif while commenting on the report of Faizabad Inquiry Commission said that this report has no value as it is neither authentic nor reliable.

Speaking on a private TV show, the PML-N leader said that the Faizabad Commission was a joke. Gen (Retd) Faiz and Gen (Retd) Bajwa did not appear before the commission and only political workers like him appeared, the defence minister said.

He further said that after appearing in front of the commission he realized that there is no seriousness there.
