ISLAMABAD: Attorney General of Pakistan Anwar Mansoor has tendered resignation from the office here on Thursday.
The AG has sent his resignation to the president of Pakistan.
He pointed out, in the resignation, that the Pakistan Bar Council had raised objection over his appointment as AG.
On Wednesday, the Supreme Court of Pakistan had ordered the Attorney General to tender an apology or provide reason on the basis of which he made controversial remarks about the apex court in the Justice Qazi Faez Isa case.
