ATC extends PTI founder’s interim bail

An anti-terrorism court has extended the interim bail of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder and former prime minister Imran Khan today in three cases including Jinnah House attack case.

ATC judge Arshad Javed heard the interim bail pleas in three cases. The court directed the PTI founder to mark his attendance in Adila Jail via video link.

The ATC extended the PTI founder’s interim bail and directed his lawyer Salman Safdar to present arguments in the next hearing.

Earlier, a petition for the acquittal of PTI founder Imran Khan in May 9 cases was filed.

District and Sessions Court Islamabad heard the case related to the incidents of May 9 registered in Khanna Police Station against PTI founder.

PTI founder’s lawyer Naeem Panjotha appeared in the judicial magistrate’s court and filed a plea for Imran Khan’s acquittal.

Judicial Magistrate Sohaib Bilal inquired that the challan of the case against the PTI founder has been submitted, how many cases left against the former prime minister?

Lawyer Naeem Panjotha said that PTI founder’s Toshakhana sentence has been suspended, sentences in Iddat marriage and cipher case are still pending while the bail is to be given in the 190 million pound scam case.
