Argentina beat Colombia to enter Copa America semifinal

VINA DEL MAR: Argentina entered the Copa America semi-final 5-4 on penalties against Colombia on Friday.

The all important match turned into a penalty thriller after the 90-minute game failed to give any side the goal they wanted to score ending in a 0-0 draw.

Carlos Tevez slammed home the winning spot kick against Colombia on Friday to book his country’s place in this year’s semi-finals.

Argentina, who have not won the Copa América since 1993, now face the winners of Saturday night’s Brazil-Paraguay match. The other semi-final will be between host Chile and Peru.
