Karachi: Another Karachi cop died from the coronavirus here on Tuesday.

The 55-year-old policeman had contracted the virus last month. He was in self-isolation at his home in Landhi. Today his condition deteriorated and was being shifted to Indus Hospital when he breathed his last, said Anti-Vehicle Lifting Cell Senior Superintendent of Police Sarfraz Nawaz Shaikh.

He is the second policeman of the Sindh Police who had died from the virus.

The senior police official said that the cop had minor heart complications.

The virus has so far infected 99 policemen in Karachi.

Globally, over 250,000 people have so far died from the deadly disease.
