LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-N Chief Organizer Maryam Nawaz has said that Shahid Khaqan Abbasi is an asset of the party and she will meet him soon.

An important consultative meeting was held at the party secretariat of PML-N, Model Town, which was presided over by Chief Organizer Maryam Nawaz. In the meeting, there was an echo of consultation regarding Maryam Nawaz’s organizational visits and Shahid Khaqan Abbasi’s resignation from the party post.

According to the party sources, Maryam Nawaz has assured the party leaders to remove the reservations of Shahid Khaqan Abbasi.

In order to stabilize the party, Maryam Nawaz has also asked for suggestions from the leaders. The PML-N will bring out a new narrative based on Imran Khan’s narrative.

PML-N leader Muhammad Zubair, Anusha Rehman, Uzma Bukhari, Malik Ahmed Khan, Talal Chaudhry, Abid Sher Ali, Mian Javed Latif and other leaders participated in the meeting, while the heads of social media teams also participated.

It should be noted that Shahid Khaqan Abbasi had denied resigning from the party post, while Maryam Nawaz and Nawaz Sharif’s spokesperson Muhammad Zubair have confirmed his resignation.

Earlier, former prime minister and Senior Vice President of Muslim League (N) Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has resigned from the party post and has decided to spread the message of Pakistan’s welfare through the forum of ‘Reimagining Pakistan’ for the betterment of the country. .

In an interaction with a newspaper at Parliament House, Shahid Abbasi rejected the impression that he was working for General Bajwa for a second extension before his retirement.

He disclosed that he had suggested to (N) League leader Nawaz Sharif in London that if the government is forced to extend General Bajwa, it would be better to leave the government.

He also denied the impression that he was lobbying to make any general the army chief.

He said that he had made it clear to Nawaz Sharif three years ago that if Maryam was brought to a senior position in the party, it would not be possible for her to stay in the party. In response to a question, he said that he had not spoken to Mary since she came from London.

“I am happy that his surgery was successful, my prayers are with him,” he said. He said that he will not be the chief organizer of the party at any point.
