Abbasi hints at launching new party soon

Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, the former prime minister and PML-N leader has hinted at launching a new political party soon on Tuesday.

Speaking to media outside NAB court, he said that consultations and groundwork in progress for a new political party.

He was of the view that the country needed a new political party.

The former PML-N stalwart requested to the president and prime minister to save the country by abolishing the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

He said that he did not want withdrawal of cases against him but decision on all these cases.

To a question, Abbasi said that he has no contact with PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif. I am ready to meet him, whenever he summons, the former prime minister said.

Earlier,  former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi asserted that either the country will be governed by the rule of law, or by NAB.

Shahid Khaqan Abbasi while talking to the media outside National Accountability Bureau (NAB) court in Karachi : “We ask the NAB and the court what are our cases. Look at the cases of Nawaz Sharif, how the court issued decisions before the election. But after five years he has been acquitted by the High Court”.
