Army Chief said there should be clarity in narrative on terrorists: Sanaullah

ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has said that in the meeting of the National Security Committee, the Army Chief said that there should be an explanation in the narrative about the terrorists, which demands that there should be no negotiations with the outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) or other terrorist organizations.

Talking to private TV, Rana Sanaullah said that we should not give mixed messages on the issue of negotiations with terrorists. It was decided in the National Security Committee meeting that there will be no negotiations with terrorist organizations. There will be no talks with TTP or any other terrorist organization.

The interior minister said that if there is an aggressor, international laws allow that one can stop him in self-defense.
He said that talks will be held with the Afghan government, no area of ​​Pakistan is under the control of terrorists, terrorists come from Afghanistan and leave after taking action, evidence related to terrorists will be placed before the Afghan government.

Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah said that Afghanistan has promised Pakistan and the world that its territory will not be used against any other country, the Afghan government will be asked to fulfill its promise to Pakistan and the world.

Last month, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has said that India’s footprints are visible in all terror activities carried out in Pakistan and New Delhi’s activities have gone “beyond that of an enemy state” just to hide its atrocities in occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

Addressing a press conference alongwith Additional Inspector-General Counter-Terrorism Department Punjab Imran Mehmood here, he said that India, through some way or the other, woos the international community and then engages in terrorist activities in Pakistan and we have clear evidence of it.

He said that this incident took place some time back and we have caught all the culprits related to this. he further said that India has to some extent accepted the responsibility for it.

AIG CTD Mehmood briefing media said the incident took place in Lahore’s Johar Town at 11:09am on June 23 in 2021. He added that about 200 kilogrammes of explosive materials were used in the blast and a car was used in it. The explosion resulted in the death of three people and injured 22 — including two police officers.

He further said that to date, no terrorist organisation has claimed the responsibility for this attack.

Earlier, Federal Minister for Interior Rana Sanaullah Khan said right now, the economy was the country’s most pressing issue, not elections.
