SHC dismisses petition seeking permission to cultivate vegetables from sewage water

KARACHI: The Sindh High Court on Monday dismissed a request to allow vegetable cultivation from sewage water.

The Sindh High Court heard a petition seeking permission on the basis of religious decree (Fatwa) to cultivate vegetables from sewage water.

The petitioner, Jan Muhammad, took the position that cultivation near Baloch Colony in Malir River should be allowed. He added that he had got the vegetable tested and also obtained religious decrees.

The court inquired the petitioner that whether fatwas would now follow even for human related issues? You want to be allowed to cultivate vegetables on the basis of religious decree?
