Sargodha: The historic banyan tree near Madh Ranjha in Sargodha is the oldest and largest tree in Pakistan while the second oldest in the world and has a history spanning thousands of years.

On this charismatic tree on the banks of the river Chenab, where all kinds of birds have built their nests, the superstitious people also write various phrases on this tree to fulfill their wishes.

It is said that the world’s largest banyan tree is in Sri Lanka, followed by Madh Ranjha’s banyan tree, followed by India’s third.
