Karachi: Gas supply to several areas of Karachi suspended after an eight-inch diameter gas pipeline burst in Moinabad area on Sunday.
A spokesperson for the Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) said that an eight-inch gas pipeline has been damaged by heavy machinery removing garbage in Moinabad area.
He said that to avoid any untoward incident the gas supply to the several areas including Malir, Model Colony and Moinabad has been suspended.
The spokesperson added that the supply would be resumed after the completion of repair work on the pipeline by 7pm.
