Washington: Pakistan has succeded to control the coronavirus pandemic by 80 per cent, which was fast spreading two months ago.

According to a report published in the American magazine Wall Street, the number of virus patients at the country’s hospitals has dropped significantly over the past two months.

On the other hand, India and Iran are badly affected by the deadly pandemic.

Despite the World Health Organisation’s warning, Prime Minister Imran Khan had opposed the lockdown. He called the consequences of the lockdown serious and dangerous. But, Pakistan has able to control the global pandemic by 80 per cent, which was out of control two months ago.

Despite a significant drop in the virus cases, Pakistan has not declared a complete success so far.

The report said that a resource-rich country like the US is still waging a struggle to control coronavirus as the number of virus patients in the country has reached 4.7 million while the death toll soared to 157,000.
