Coronavirus update: As of Thursday confirmed cases rise to 123, 539 in Pakistan

Pakistan lifts all Covid restrictions

KARACHI: As of Thursday (20:00) the total number of confirmed cases of coronavirus has reached 123, 539 while 24, 09 died in the country.

After emergence of new cases, Sindh overtook Punjab with 46, 828 confirmed infections.

Over 33,000 patients have recovered so far in the country while 24, 09 have lost their lives.

Given below is the province-wide breakup of confirmed cases across country:

• Sindh: 46,828

• Punjab: 45,463

• Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 15,787

• Balochistan: 7,673

• Islamabad Capital Territory: 6,236

• Gilgit-Baltistan: 1,018

• AJK: 534

Meanwhile, Pakistan Muslim League-N President Shehbaz Sharif and Secretary General have also tested positive for coronavirus.

This was confirmed by PML-N spokesperson Maryam Aurangzeb today.

She said that the PML-N president has isolated himself at his residence.

Party leaders have wished him early recovery.
