ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said that we intend to defend the no-confidence motion in a constitutional and democratic manner.

Speaking in the National Assembly, Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that the Leader of the Opposition had referred to the decision of the Supreme Court. It is my duty to defend the no-confidence motion in a constitutional and democratic manner.

Earlier, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi had said that the letter shown by Prime Minister Imran Khan in rally was shared with the military leadership.

Talking to a private TV channel on Sunday, Shah Mehmood Qureshi said, “I do not think that these letters will be shown off the record. It is the discretion of the prime minister to show the letter.

He said that we were given a threatening message through a letter. It is a secret document, we cannot show it like this. We can also tell the date on the day the letter was received, Qureshi said.

It may be recalled that Prime Minister Imran Khan, while waving a letter in a public meeting today, claimed that an attempt was being made to change the government with the help of money from outside the country. We were threatened in writing, he said.

He offered to show the off-the-record letter to anyone who had any doubts.

Earlier today Prime Minister Imran Khan addressed a public meeting at Parade Ground in the federal capital.

Addressing the gathering here on Sunday, Imran Khan said that he paid tribute to his team for not accepting money against changing loyalties.
