West Indies cricket team likely to abandon Pakistan series

KARACHI: West Indies cricket team is likely to abandon Pakistan series after its five more players and support staff tested positive for Covid.

Confirming that five more players and support staff have tested positive, the Cricket West Indies said that three players including wicketkeeper batsman Shai Hope, left-arm spinner Akeal Hosein, allrounder Justin Greaves and Assistant Coach Roddy Estwick and Team Physician Dr Akshai Mansingh have gone into isolation for 10 days.

 

The WI Cricket said that all three players will miss the coming matches. They all will remain isolated from the rest of the squad and are now under the care and supervision provided by the medical officials.
