CAROLINA: Two US universities have developed a vaccine-filled sticker for people who are afraid of injection.

According to the researchers, the sticker/transplant proved to be better and more effective than the needle vaccine in the initial trial.

The sticker-shaped patch, developed by Stanford University and the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, has many fine needles. When they are applied to the skin, the dose of the vaccine in the needles is injected into the skin, thus completing the vaccination process.

This method is much better than the traditional vaccine, which is usually given in the arm. Details were published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.
